Tech Tasters:

Short introductory sessions in:

• Coding
• Game Design
• Digital media
• Robotics

These sessions aim to stimulate interest in technology pathways. The beginner-friendly Microsoft MakeCode coding platforms, micro:bits , game pads and sphero robots are used to explore the possibilities of technology. Most suited to teenagers and young adults but learners of all ages can be accommodated.

Basic Digital Skills:

A 6-week course (2 hours a week) in smartphone and online skills to build confidence and competency. Suited to over 65s with limited key digital skills.
We hope that participation in the course will significantly improve the lives of the learners and open the potential of technology for communication, accessing information and leisure.

Click Confident:

A short intervention programme to build confidence and competency with digital literacy for accessing training and employment opportunities.

For early school leavers and others returning to employment and education or training, navigating the online environment to access information and application pathways can be overwhelming and intimidating. Most job and training opportunities are now advertised online, as are the platforms in which candidate profiles and applications are uploaded. The focus of Click Confident is centred on specific needs around email use and features, developing profiles and navigating online platforms. AI writing resources can also play a key role in supporting the development of cover letter and CV writing. The course also explores how to access and manage personal financial and welfare information online with citizens
information and mygov.ie services.

We believe that this program can significantly contribute to the success of individuals seeking employment and training opportunities, ultimately leading to their personal and professional growth.

Our Kids Code- Family Coding Clubs

The aim of Our Kids Code is to foster a collaborative learning environment where adults actively participate alongside their children, acquiring new skills themselves. Let’s Get Digital is working in partnership with Our Kids Code to provide opportunities in Tallaght, Clondalkin and Lucan for parents and guardians to develop a tech-ready culture within families and boost their overall confidence with technology.
